Jerry Host
2012-2013 MEC Chair

Jerry Host was selected as 2012-2013 MEC Chair.

Host is President and  Chief Executive Officer of Trustmark Corporation and its subsidiary Trustmark National Bank since January 2011. Prior to his current position he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Trustmark National Bank. Host serves as a Director on the Boards of Trustmark National Bank and Trustmark Corporation. He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Board of Governors of the Mississippi Economic Council and is past treasurer of MEC; he is a Director on the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, New Orleans Branch Board. Host serves on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Bankers Association. He is past Chairman of the Board for Pulse-EFT Association/Discover Financial Services and past member of their Steering Committee.

He is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mississippi Museum of Art and currently serves on the Executive Committee. He is past director for the Mississippi Chapter of  the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He serves on the Board of the Mississippi Sale of Champions. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Capital Club of Jackson.

He is a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson and volunteers with Stewpot Community Services and Habitat for Humanity. Host is married to the former Olivia Ann Brown, Partner at BKD, LLP. They have two college-aged children.
