WATKINS LUDLAM WINTER & STENNIS ANNOUNCES NEW SHAREHOLDERS
Watkins Ludlam Winter & Stennis is pleased to announce the election of four Shareholders to the firm: J. Andrew (Andy) Gipson, April D. Reeves and Christopher R. Shaw from the firm’s Jackson office and S. Trent Favre from the Gulfport office. Gipson, Reeves and Shaw were promoted from Associate to Shareholder and Favre was promoted from Counsel to Shareholder.
Andy Gipson focuses his business practice in the areas of securities, communications, and agriculture law and was listed as a Rising Star in the 2009 edition of Mid-South Super Lawyers. He is a resident of Simpson County and serves as State Representative for District 77 (Simpson, Smith and Rankin Counties). Andy is a summa cum laude graduate of the Mississippi College School of Law. Andy focuses his business practice in the areas of securities, communications, and agriculture law and was listed as a Rising Star in the 2009 edition of Mid-South Super Lawyers.
April Reeves focuses her practice on banking and antitrust litigation as well as business torts and commercial litigation. A native of Hartselle, Alabama, April is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and a resident of Hinds County. She is actively involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations including Jackson Friends of the Animal Shelter, The Women’s Fund, and the Madison Ridgeland Rotary.
Chris Shaw focuses his practice on insurance defense, commercial litigation and First Amendment law. Chris is a cum laude graduate of The University of Mississippi School of Law and a resident of Madison County. Chris is a member of Jackson Young Lawyers, Defense Research Institute and the National Association of Settlement Purchasers.
Trent Favre focuses his practice on commercial litigation, insurance defense and health care law. Trent is a graduate of The University of Mississippi School of Law and a resident of Kiln, Mississippi. He works from the firm’s Gulfport office and is actively involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations including Mississippi Gulf Coast Business Council, Hancock County Chamber of Commerce, American Heart Association, Live Oak Alliance and the Bay-Waveland Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity.
