Cellular South expands 3G service to MS Delta

Cellular South has expanded the availability of its third-generation 3G high-speed mobile broadband data services to consumers and business customers in 15 counties and 60 cities in the Mississippi Delta. MEC member Cellular South is the nation's largest privately owned wireless carrier.

With the new deployment, customers in 60 cities and 15 Mississippi Delta counties now experience faster uploads and downloads when connecting to the Internet and gain access to new mobile high-speed data services, including mobile video telephony, high-quality music and other multimedia applications, according to Tony Kent, chief technology officer for Cellular South.
